Be a BLESSING to someone. Helping those in need with non judgmental attitudes. I’m so excited… today we heading out for our long drive to Florida. We decided to drive so wBlessing bags 3e could bless others with blessing bags. Bags are made and ready to go!! We have so much to be thankful for.

This was such a joyous project that my husband and I do all year round, but especially when we travel. We keep a few “Blessing Bags” in our car so that when we do happen to see someone on the streets who is homeless, stranded or down on their luck,  we can hand them a Blessing Bag. You can also make them and give to your local charities as they are very much appreciated!

Making your own Blessing Bags List:

Gallon size Ziplock bags
items to go in the bags, such as:
chap stick
packages of tissues
toothbrush and toothpaste
comb
soap
trail mix
granola bars
crackers
pack of gum
band aids
socks
scarf
mittens
deodorant
mouthwash
coins (could be used to make a phone call, or purchase a food item)
hand wipes
you could also put in a warm pair of socks, and maybe a Starbucks gift card
candies
hand sanitizer
hand &  warmers
applesauce
pudding
individual packs of cereal
plastic spoons
blessing bag 4
Assemble all the items in the bags, and maybe throw in a note of encouragement. I love to put in bible verse and let them know that “Jesus Loves Them”. Seal the bags and stow in your car for a moment of providence.
This would be a great activity to do with some other families, churches and schools. Each family could bring one of the items going into the bags (ex: toothbrushes).
